Community Impact Award Criteria

This award recognizes a business, nonprofit organization, or individual whose actions have made a meaningful and lasting difference in the community. The Community Impact Award honors those who go above and beyond to improve the social, cultural, or economic well-being of the city through service, generosity, and collaboration. The recipient embodies the spirit of community and demonstrates that positive impact matters as much as success. 

 

Business Impact Award Criteria

This Business Impact Award recognizes a locally owned or locally operating business that has demonstrated outstanding success, leadership, and commitment to the community over the past year. This award honors a business that not only excels economically but also contributes positively to the life and vitality of the city. ​The recipient reflects the values of the community through ethical business practices, jobs creation, customer service, and active participation in local initiatives.

 

Legacy Award

Presented to an individual who has demonstrated good character and outstanding achievements in their business or organization or who has promoted the City of Conneaut through volunteerism for a number of years. This award is not given out every year—rather—it is reserved for those rare individuals who have earned it over their lifetime or career.

Citizen of the Year

To be eligible for Citizen of the Year, a person's community involvement must be over and above what they do for a living. HIs or her services should have been performed over a period of years and should also include some current community activity. We ask that all nominations be made in writing and must include the biographical information and list of achievements that are pertinent to this award.
