Criteria for Chamber Champions

Chamber Champion Awards were originally presented at the Chamber’s “Breakfast of Champions”. They are now awarded at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner/Meeting.

They are awarded to selected individuals, organizations, businesses, or industries who have demonstrated excellence in contributing to the goals and objectives of the Conneaut Area Chamber of Commerce.  The awards criteria are meant to be broad, so that efforts in economic or civic improvements can be recognized.

A product or service, an idea or innovation, a success or investment that demonstrates commitment to the Conneaut Area Community, can be deemed a Chamber Champion.

Leadership Award

Presented to a business or industry, or individual with outstanding achievements in economic development, jobs creation, enterprise growth, or start up entrepreneurship.

President’s Award

Presented to an individual, organization or business that has exemplified the strategic objective of the Conneaut Area Chamber of Commerce, to make Conneaut a better place in which to work and live.

Legacy Award

Presented to an individual who has demonstrated good character and outstanding achievements in their business or organization or who and has promoted the City of Conneaut through volunteerism for a number of years. This award is not given out every year—rather—it is reserved for those rare individuals who have earned it over their lifetime or career.

Members of the Conneaut Area Chamber of Commerce may make nominations for Chamber Champions and the Chamber Board of Directors will determine the recipients of these honors. The Directors are not required to present every award, every year, and they may also choose to make special presentations from time to time.
